Eva Collins Alonso
Sound Designer
J. Eva Collins Alonso works in theatre production roles in Norway, Spain & the UK. She tours with theatre companies and creates her own work in the fields of Theatre & Sound Art, experimenting with Foley Art, cassettes, recorders, and a variety of sound software.
In 2011 Eva won Best Playwright and Best Male & Female Actors for her show “Paredes de Papel” at Premios Buero Valencia for Young Theatre-makers, from the CocaCola Foundation. In 2018/2019, she was selected by Alicante's Local Council (Spain) to lead Almadrada Experimental Summer Laboratories. In 2020, Eva has been awarded by Arts Council England: Developing Your Creative Practice to make [RADIOPHONICS] – a project about Sound & Storytelling which was also granted Artist Residencies at Hawkwood Centre for Future Thinking (UK) and Fossekleiva Kultursenter (Norway).
Eva studied BA Theatre & Professional Practice at University of Bedfordshire (2011, UK) and MA Performance Practice as Research at Royal Central School of Speech & Drama (2016, London UK). She trained as a Light & Sound Technician and Stage Manager with Northern Stage (Newcastle) and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016.
